Amazing Afghan Hounds

They truly are amazing, to know one is to love one. They learn quickly however, they get bored with repetition. There used to be a show on Animal Planet called Breed all About it, anyone remember that one?

One of the the segments was on Afghan hounds. They were interviewing Pat Stephenson, a well known breeder. When she was asked if Afghan Hounds were dumb, her reply was something to the nature of "You tell me who is dumber, the dog who trains the human or the human who trains the dog"?

They are amazingly smart & use it to their advantage. A friend of ours has a BC and when they play, our girl will out run the BC, sit down & wait until the BC brings the ball to her! Truly funny to watch ;o)
