what is the most common breed in your shelters?

As I was looking through the local pound's website and seeing the same breeds over and over I began wondering if it's the same everywhere. What are the top 3-5 breeds you see in your local pounds/shelters all the time?

here are what people here consider "disposable" dogs and why I think it may be
1. pit bull-people get them to look tough, but don't train properly
2. labs-people like the friendliness but can't understand why they dig all the time. I mean they have a huge backyard....
3. chihuahua-want to have a small "paris hilton" dog but don't like it when the dog nips or needs actual training and can't stand to be in a purse all the time
4. border collie-smart, but darn it they need exercise and jobs...no time for that
5. Queensland-same as border collie, like the smarts, but can't take the behaviors when the dogs are bored out of their minds.

Mixed breeds as here anything resembling purebred unfortunatly is associated with able to breed for money even without papers so are ill kept and unloved and pumping out pups. Though they also breed mixes here too but hardly any are adopted as they want pups that can breed in future so the shelter dogs are fixed and therefore not worth adopting as well as for the fee because they will get nothing out of them.... so ignorant here!!

#1, Generic Hound mix. Generally small to medium, few large. Number one reason why I've never adopted from a shelter, I'm NOT a hound person, never have liked much if anything about them, and they just seem to ooze from every crack and crevasse of every shelter in the area probably for my same reason of just not being attracted to them.

#2, Pitt Lab crosses. LOADS of these, about 1 per shelter at all time.

#3, Shepherd or Husky mixed with Rottie or Dobie. Are about as common at pitt and lab mixes. They all look about the same, with houndy drop ears thin long tail, medium short coat most often in B/T.

#4, Husky mixes. They look most like husky's but not purebred. Most often found 1 per shelter at all times.

For a while we had a byb bringing in maltese and bichons. I think I mentioned considering adopting a female that was brought in. It was a couple weeks after Roxy was pts and I was still hesitant about getting a replacement puppy. She was 2 yrs old and sweet as pie! She was very nervous around most people but seemed to take an instant liking to me. My mom said I couldn't have her though because we were going to get Oliver (I had that name picked out ahead of time). Her name was Boo, which I think was the name of all this lady's dogs! The male we almost adopted was also named Boo and he was a maltese x bichon.... He had food aggression issues so we decided it wasn't best with Martin in the house as well.
