gum color

my dogs gums are consatnly changing from pink to white, does anyone know what this means

if you dogs gums turn white thats a very good indicator that your dog is anemic or significant medical stress please bring your dog to the vet

I would also worry about lymes disease!.Check the inside of the eyes if white,take him to the vet,ASAP!

Could also mean some sort of issue with blood pressure.

My dog had white gums after surgery. We thought initially blood loss. Turned out it was from his post-op pain meds (hydromorphone) that caused him to have low blood pressure.

i would think anemic perhaps due to parasites? how old is dog? worm medication? fleas? trauma? take to vet is my advice

I agree - I would take your dog to the vet and have them run a blood panel on him/her.

Vet ASAP... your dog could be anemic and this can be very serious. If the anemia gets to bad your dog could start fainting from lack of oxygen to the brain.

In severe cases of anemia death can occur so it is best to get to a vet and have a full blood panel done.
