My heart is breaking...

Last night Moxie and I were at my parents, I woke thinking I was warm and found that I indeed was warm, but I was also...wet...I was covered in urine from my elbow around my armpit and down my torso, my sweatshirt and t-shirt underneath were saturated, Moxie's bum and part of her back was also saturated. Moxie has had two accidents before (over a year ago), much smaller than this.

I removed wet clothes toweled her off and went back to sleep when I woke there were two more wet spots. I put her in the shower with me cleaned her off better and took her outside. When she did poop later in the day it was very small and mucousy. My mom took her out later and she pooped again very small and mucousy. I gave her tablespoon of pumpkin, 1/2 normal kibble 1/2 I/D wet when we got back to the dorm. I warned my roommate, but she still let Moxie on her bed and found a wet spot, Moxie is now in her bed in her crate and the leaking continues.

I can't find an e-vet here...I need something to ease my mind and know that she's going to be okay, or more importantly something anything I can do to keep her comfortable.

Moxie is ten years old in June (finally made some sense of her medical records).

At first I thought it was just...a wetting the bed, but now she is still leaking and I don't know what to do.

I'm confused- what is heart breaking?
It's a mystery, a symptom, a sign. It could be due to any one of a hundred things from inconsequential to manageable with medication to surgically fixable and everything in bewteen. There is absolutely no reason for your heart to break. Just go to the vet tomorrow and have her checked out.

I am not surprised that she did it a second time as you never took her outside after the first. Monitor her food and measure her water intake and write down her potty trips. Having these things in writing can help your vet tremendously when you take her in tomorrow.

I understand it's hard not to jump to conclusions in a case like this - when Loki was limping on and off for several months, I had him pinned with cancer - turned out just an over strained muscle. Try not to worry until you get Moxie to the vet to see what's really wrong with her. Even though she's 'leaking' - I would imagine it's better to have that problem then not going at all (a blockage)... at least toxins are being released from her body.

Hope all goes well at the vets (when you get her in).

I have made a diaper out of a dishtowel, safety pins, maxi pads and athletic tape, she's used to it but you can just tell she feels a bit rediculous.

She's had bedwetting before, but it's NEVER lasted this long. Her poops are more normal today and am calling/searching for the perfect vet. All I really ned is uranalysis

It sounds like a UTI maybe.

I am hoping all goes well with the vet tomorrow. Lola has a UTI that she is on meds for right now. She did not wet the bed, however, I may have caught hers very early. She could not go 1 hour without having to urinate and she had accidents on the carpet. I did not see blood, just frequent urination.

Good luck tomorrow. Please let us know what the vet says. Sending good vibes your way that Moxie will be all better very soon.

I hope it all turns out well for her. I worked at a vets office so I keep doing best and worst case scenarios in my head which is silly. Because she is still herself and she'll be fine.

She ate some more of the pumpkin today and it has REALLY helped with her poops it's not that she's asking to go out frequently and she's not squatting, she's just leaking and when she does go out she pees 2 or 3 times before she poops. Moxie is a bit like a camel she likes to go out once in the morning have small break in the afternoon then a large one at night before bed.
