No allergies here, but I feed a very clean diet which I believe has a huge influence on their immune systems. I have also kept an organic home and yard since 1996, so no chemicals to trigger anything.

Mia is allergic to fleas. The 2 times we've gotten fleas, her stomach broke out in hives and she was miserable!

Jaia is allergic to just about any pollen. He sneezes and itches and gets hot spots. He has one right now. Also, miserable...

I am lucky, no allergies here. I know someone whose dog is allergic to human dander. Kinda ironic... Asked them if their dog was going to put them up for adoption due to allergies!

Kirby had summer environmental allergies that he has outgrown.

Holly has winter environmental allergies in her bad eye, and I do not think she will outgrow it. It's related to her pigment/immune system.

Unfortunately Roxy is riveted with a number of allergies. I don't feed a home made diet which I assume would be best, but I feed very high quality kibbles and have since she was about a year. I assume the majority of her issues are due to bad genetics, another small percentage to her crappy diet for the first year of her life.

So to date, Roxy is allergic to fleas, poultry and beef. Once things get less hectic around here, I am going to try feeding her some organic meats to see if that makes a difference. I'm thinking she might just be allergic to the chemicals/perservatives/whatever in dog food.

If this counts Femka had a severe reaction to Biospot ( seizured). Had used it before on other dogs, never a problem but it did with her.

Kota has never been officially diagnosed with a food allergy. But I do believe she is allergic to corn or something else in the cheaper brands of dog food. Specifically Beneful.
Perhaps its all the color dyes in it. Maybe its the corn or the bi-products. I am really not certain.

What I am certain about is that since she came to me for the first year of her life I fed Beneful. And for the first year she itched her bum like crazy.

I switched foods and that went away and has never come back. So I do believe something in it made her skin itch.
