Bat droppings and dogs

Can anyone tell me if bat droppings can make a dog sick? not eating them or anythign like that but walking in it or something like that? Thanks

Make sure the rabies is current! People have gotten sick with rabies going into bat infested caves. I don't know about any other effects. Lepto is a sickness from other critters waste so bats may have something too but I'm not aware of what it might be.

yes both dogs are UTD on their shots...hmmm well thanks for trying to answer my question hehe

Histoplasmosis would be the most likely thing- respiratory issues from inhaling guano dust.

This is correct. How don't know how much exposure it would take, but I would avoid it if possible.

Thank you for that info! I knew it was harmful to people for the same reason but wasn't sure if was more harmful to the animlas! It is being taken care of on Wed. T
