Dog Under the Weather

Small dog (about 13 lbs) is not eating, drinking or using washroom, also appears to be lethargic. Owner away on vacation, dog alone (someone comes in twice daily for a short period of time). Do you think it's just lonely or something serious ?

It's hard to say if the dog is not being monitored 24/7. If the vet offers boarding, would the owners be willing to board there for a day for observation?

Anyone who is dogsitting needs to have the owners permission to vet the dog if necessary. The dog needs to be observed more closely by someone who knows what they are doing and taken to the vet if it is getting dehydrated.
Vets are open today and not over the weekend, so it is better IMO to err on the side of caution.

When are the owners expected back? You should have a contact number- call them and tell them about it!
