Any other rhodesien ridgeback owners???

I own a 2 year old purebred male rhodesien ridgeback called Kain. He is the sweetest guy He is also an excellent guard dog but so kind to the family. I would describe him as loyal, loving and dependable

Anyone else on a rhodesien ridgeback. Id love to see pics of your dog and hear a little bit about them.

Thanks

Nope, but I was considering one before we got our 2 dobes. Theya re my second favorite breed. I love the way they look and I know them to be wonderful , sweet dogs. Lots of energy ! We would have got one if there had been pups available, at the time.

Do you have any pics of your dog?

I don't think I've ever seen one around here, but I've read a lot about them and I think they seem really cool! I would love one someday!

Hi there

Myself and my boyfriend are thinking about getting a Ridgeback, can you tell me anything about them. Good and bad! He wants a Weimaraner and I want a Ridgeback, Im trying to talk him into getting the Rhodi because I love them! We had a Weimer puppy and she was put down recently due to heart failure. It was very sad and heart breaking. I dont want another weimer because I will see my little baby and its too close. We still want a dog but I have always love the Ridgeback and now want one.

Thanks,

Sure, well mine is very loyal and will stick around home (doesnt wander). Not an aggressive dog, but very protective of the home and our family, so he makes a good guard dog with his deep bark He is so loving and always wants a hug and to be petted. We have not had any health problems with him so far, um.... Not hard to train but a bit dopey at times, lol. Yeah that is all I can really think of to tell you if you want to know anything else just ask

Hi Thanks for the info thats great!! How big is your boy? Do you think a male or female is better to have for proection? Have people ever been scared of him? I dont want family to get worried and nervous when they met the dog. Ever been aggressive towards you? I have read that they arent aggressive unless the situation calls for it. Is that true for you? Im trying to talk my boyfriend into getting one!

Thanks!!
