Borderline Crazies

Ok rescue partners, are most people in charge of shelters or rescues a bit off? Is it just my area? It is SO territorial and political here! I am getting a fast education in "don't cross the street" or something and I honestly don't get it. We are suppose to be helping save lives here, not "possessing" some sort of "mine and me" attitude.I can't believe some things that have gone on and honestly don't know if I want to learn any more.Any advice?

It happens at ours too depending on who's running it. The operations manager was just canned and we got a very positive email from the new ops and director stating that they are getting back to the "dedication" to their motto and are looking forward to setting up a meet with rescues around the area and building a strong working partnership to actually help the animals that end up there.

I can't tell you how excited we are again

Now if they can just "relieve" the terminator now that she doesn't have anyone there to "cover" her, the place would be even better!

Seen it the way you describe all but with one other director here.

People in rescue are a little "special" anyways LOL I think we have to be to spend most of our lives with the flea bags that aren't even ours giving them everything we've got and every chance we can.

Well it's great to hear that in your part of the country things are turning to the good. I guess my only hope for the moment is that some of these people here will get burned out soon.
