Ha. I trimmed my little girl yesterday. One year old and a little more settled now. First I took her out for a nice relaxed romp in the park. I let her enjoy her freedom and a time to play. Then I took her home in the quiet of the afternoon and set her outside on the picnic table. She knows the routine well and was relaxed, so it did not help to hook her up to the grooming stand loop, instead I just let her stand there on her own and ran the clippers down her back like it was fun while I held my arms around her to protect her from jumping around. I worked with her over three episodes within a one-hour period. Once she was on the ground, and twice on the table, with a few minutes break and relaxation (I needed) between bouts. She came out looking beautiful and I even got most of her underside and rear and tail too while she was standing still. That was our best grooming session yet.

I look forward to many years of pleasant times with Honey Bee and grooming. She definitely enjoyed the result as you could tell that she was proud of her new cut and how much more comfortable she felt getting rid of some excess hair off her body.
