Deramaxx prices?

A friend at my husband's work has a dog taking Deramaxx. They just tried to order 90 tablets, and were told by the vet it would be $300 and some dollars for the 3 month supply.

Is this normal price for this? (I'm at an e-clinic so I don't see things like Maintenance pain drugs, etc...)

Is it THAT stellar of a product?

That seems very high to me, last time I bought some I think I paid $40 for a months worth.

Deramaxx is extremely expensive. One of the most expensive NSAID's available.

It is better than Rimadyl for two reasons.. one is that it's once a day medication, second is because it's COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor. Meaning it works on two reasons for inflammation, not just the one like Rimadyl or the others do.

My cost for Deramaxx 100mg 90 count bottle is $165.00, and most prices are double for pharmaceutical products. So 300 would be a little expensive.. but it's not outrageous either because it costs a bit to begin with.
