Test Results are in..

A while ago I posted about my boyfriends mini Dachs with a big bloated belly and possible Cushings. Well they got the test results today. (I only heard a couple things).
His Thyroid levels are high, as well as something to do with his liver or kidneys too. The vet is running another test friday but is fairly certain Max has Cushings due to his symtoms.

Does Cushings ever cause behavior changes? Because today Max severly attacked my boyfriends adult cat. He bit her neck, left front leg, and her right back leg enough that they took her to the emergency vet and she had to get 5 areas glued together. In 3+ years he has never ever attacked the cat. He does go after birds and little critters outside but never the cat until today. My boyfriends mom doesn't know if they can keep him if he might go after the cats again.

I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but my Cushing's dane went after a friend's little girl and was euthanized as his behavior was no longer safe to deal with. (There had been similar incidents prior, though they had some sort of trigger. This one was unprovoked.)

I'm not sure it's something chemical, or just a reaction to how crummy they feel at times. He had been around kids since I had gotten him and had never shown unprovoked aggression.
