Poor Lindsey..

She goes to the vet tomorrow at 10am and thats good. But I think she has the very beginning of a UTI. We had 5 days of mud and I think she got an infection. So she will start that one we know. Plus I found a flea on her the other day, ( starting already??? jeez) but its been 50 degrees for days here.. Then we have stray cats here, and the vet wants to start her on interseptor, PLUS she needs her booster... She is NOT going to be a happy camper tomorrow.. ( amoxi, interseptor, vaccine, and front line.. well isnt that just lovely?>?????? jeeeeeeeeeeeez... I should space them out over a few days... Poor baby...)

yea that is alot for a little 12 week old puppy. Poor baby. This evening it turned into straining to urinate. I called the vet right away. First question DR.V was " are you giving her cranberry?" ( well duh) and is she passing urine - ( well yea but not much production).
Poor baby- she thinks she has to go potty. She tries to pee, little is produced.. So then she tries to poop ( uh she is pooped out) so that doesn't work, then tries to pee- same result... My vet can not run a culture tonight, but asked me if she had a temperture. ( we took it- no fever yet) so " see you first thing tomorrow morning at 10.
Well if my baby has an infection, she sure as **** better not try to give her a vaccine or I am going to blow a gasket!

We are back. The vet did not give her the vaccine because she does have a UTI infection. However- no crystals etc in the culture so thats good. She started her on 1/4 tablet 500 mg amoxicillian w/clavulanate . Fecal was negative ( I figured as much) and we started her on interceptor. Her weight is- ( are you ready???)- what scale said when we weighed her before - well this little girl is 18.8 pounds! The rest of the exam came out fine. However- the vet did not like what I was feeding her. She said she needs more calories so now she is on Wellness large breed puppy ( dry and canned.). She goes back next friday for a recheck and if improved in the UTI, she will get her vaccine then.
So I picked the food up. ( and uh got her two new toys.). Now she has a new ball, and the toy is made by nylabone. Its cute- looks like a ring with two pacifiers on it- one pink one blue and she is having a ball with it. Now she is sound asleep from her adventure to the vet. I also washed off her back legs that had the blood on it, and cleaned her up a little bit.
