I have two questions:
My 11 month old Golden Retriever is doing a few things. 1) She always "play bites" with people... by this, I mean when someone plays with her, the 1st thing she will do is open her mouth and put your hands and fingers in her mouth... she doesn't really want to hurt anyone, but it can be scary to kids when she pulls on their shirt sleeve or puts their little fingers in her mouth. 2) She destroys ALL the toys I buy for her in a matter of mins... whether its a ball toy with a rope or a plastic toy that looks like a newspaper with squeeky thing in the middle... she will chew it to pieces in mins... Are both of these things normal? |

Sounds like she's being a typical puppy to me
You should start teaching her not to mouth, even if she is just playing. Try teaching her 'thats enough' or something simalar to this, she needs to know when this is inapropriate. Puppies can be distructive! I suggest buy a Kong toy, or a toy simalar to these. They can be expensive compared to other toys, but I've never heard of them being destroyed, plus you can put treats in them to keep her busy while you're away
