The older I get the more I do not understand

I recently heard from a friend of mine who is very active in mastiff rescue. One of her latest?........She was transporting a mastiff mix from Texas to OK City. The dog is being transported had been dragged on a rope from the back of a pick up truck. He is in pretty bad shape but will hopefully make it.

Where to people get off doing such horrible things such as this. Are they drunk?.....On drugs?....Do they get their rocks off out of seeing an animal suffer?

If you don't want the dog, take it to a shelter or try to find a rescue. For all the wonderful and successful stores I have heard with people that find forever homes for these dogs, why is there always 2 or 3 to take their place?

I also wonder if the person that did this to his dog can actually sleep at night.

These people sleep at night because they do not have a conscience I am just thankful there are people that rescue.

I never get used to the callousness of humans roaming this planet.

What keeps me going are the truly wonderful people that do seek a rescue dog and all of those who help them on thier way to a better life if at all possible. There are all sorts out there. Some transport, some post, some have massive email listing and post everything they can, some rescue, some walk dogs, some take on rescues as clients to help them.. the list goes on and on..

I agree, there is a special place in he11 for people like the cupcake that did that to that poor dog!

I sincerely hope he recovers and can move past that to a wonderful 2nd chance!

Poor, poor dog. I can't imagine doing that to a dog or any animal. Obviously only a disturbed individual would do such a thing and I do hope he!! is a little hotter for these folks.

People obviously think that an animal can't feel pain or they just don't care. I don't understand how people can be so cruel and heartless.

it has nothing to do with age.......compassion for animals seems to be something that has gone to the wayside in our society...how someone could abuse a dog..I cant comprehend it...there are SO many resources if a dog is not working out with you..*shakes head*
