Smile Did a transport yesterday!

I was called by the Cincinatti Doberman Rescue to help transport Jack and Rose(named from the Titanic)
They were 2 senior wonderful Dobermans, that have had a VERY rough life they were picked up as strays together in Northern TN.
Rose was tiny, like Meka and SPUNKY like Meka! She was sooo cute. She was red cropped and docked, her ears weer bals, maybe a thyrois issue. Her biggest issue was her lack of teeth, she only had a few molars in the very back. She is guessed to be 6-8.
Jack, what a sweetie! He was black and rust with cropped ears and docked tail. He is guessed to be about 10. He has some mobility issues and probably a UTI. He was so tolerant of Rose, she would lay on him, "gum" him, and just pester the heck out of him. He didn't care one bit.

What a nice pair of dogs, but sadly there is a slim to none chance they will get adopted together. They are now with Lean On Me Doberman Rescue in IL.

Sadly I dont have any pictures. When Lean On Me posts them I will update.

Please do, and what a fitting name for a Doberman rescue!

How far did you have to travel?

Thanks for transporting. I do hope each could get a home, but I will say a special prayer that they can go together. Poor babies, sounds like they deserve so much more than anyone has given them up until now. Maybe their last years will be better.

They have really been on my mind since I left them on Sunday.

Round trip for me was almost 7 hours, but they deserved it!

I'm so glad these two had you to help them on their way.

You know, browsing through Petfinder recently I've been seeing more and more dobermans listed, more than I've never seen before. Breaks my heart, as it is one of my mother's favorite breeds and I know if we had the money we'd take one in and foster it in a heartbeat, or at least aid in transportation.

They sound like to wonderful old dogs that had not only you, but other angels looking out for them as well. Angels on earth is what you guys are.
