Wrigley

Okay, as you all know myself and my husband took in a foster named Wrigley.

With the help of Fairydogmother, we found him a home, and I'm escorting the little guy out to Seattle next week. He goes in tomorrow morning to be fixed, and get checked over one last time before he leaves.

He has been an angel up till the week and he is driving me nutty now. The little poop has started screaming when he gets put into his crate. He's just started it and its not a normal bark its a screechy, screamy, high pitched noise, that sends chills down your spine!

I've cleaned his crate out, checked to make sure there wasn't something hurting him in there and I came up empty handed. So now I'm trying to figure out how to try and fix this issue before he goes to his new home next week. I'd hate for him to be returned because he's doing this. We haven't changed routines with him since we brought him home, and I make sure he's gone potty before he gets put in his crate. Also he has gotten lots of exercise and playtime since he's come to use. So I'm at a loss.

Could he be doing this cause its just sunk in that the other dogs sleep upstairs with us? He's a sweet little dog and I want him to adjust to his new home well. I just wish he would have presented this issue a bit earlier so I could work with him.

Just let the new owners know that he isn't quite crate trained but he started to learn. Tell them that he gets anxious and to make sure they wear him out. You never know, they might not even want to crate him. I fiqure if they return him for that and aren't willing to work with him, then they shouldn't have him to begin with.

I agree. I know I'm probably worring for nothing. I just feel like I don't have the time to fix this and ensure that someone can't use it as an excuse. Does that make sense?
