Unhappy Well, she's sick

Luna has not been her normal boisterous self lately. She was slowing down and not as active then was just lethargic and droppy. It wasn't until she stopped eating and was breathing shallow that I knew there was a problem. Yesterday, we went to the vet got blood drawn and sent out...got the results today. A positive is that she doesn't have the dreaded P (memo to me, never research without all the information) or tick fever. Thank goodness!

She probably has valley fever based on the symptoms and the blood test. Couldn't get the meds today due to a stupid work thing that lasted too long.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Does anyone know how I can get my dog to eat? She has licked the vet stuff (a/d) but no real eating. She is drinking though. Any information would be great. Thanks in advance!

I got the meds and stuff today. I have used the syringe to get some food into her and she ate a fry. I know it is very important to get the meds into her, but if she isn't eating and it is to be taken with food, how do I do it?
Help please!

No, was told by the vet to do this. Broth and rice, seems easy. Any type of broth?

Best would be you boiling the heck out of a chicken breast of something, but if you're using canned, try to make sure it's sodium reduced, or just water it down a lot.

Just got back from the vet again. She may have a mass in her abdomen, has lost weight and had a 105 temp. This is not going well...Any good thoughts would be surely appreciated!!!! I am not going to have to shove 3 types of meds down her throat and more food since she lost weight since Saturday too. I want to be rich so I can be sure to be able to afford to get her well!

Oooo, that's tough - hope your pooch pulls through. We really feel for you; not too long ago our Nellie-dog stopped eating and barfed up everything, even a drop of water. The vet felt a lump in her guts too. We dug deep for the $$$ for a surgery during which the vet found and removed a whole, unchewed wool mitten that she had swallowed! Sadly though, barely a month after this she swallowed a fleece hat - this time the vet looked at us and said "well, ya know..." and sadly that was the end of our little Nellie-dog Hope things work out for your Luna - such a worry, I know.

Now I don't know if I can afford the money for the tests and that doesn't even take in the info about how to fix it. Anyone have any wise sage wisdom for me? I have only had her for 3 months now! Jeez!
