x-rays

So Harvey is going for x-rays in a couple of weeks time. His breeder wants him scoring but he also had another shoulder injury at the weekend so he's getting most of his body done!

I got home Friday to find him unable to put any weight on the same leg that he had the problem with just before Christmas only time time it appeared much worse. I couldn't get him to the vet on Friday and he kept stretching his front legs out and then flopping on to the floor. I got an appointment for Saturday afternoon and guess what? Saturday morning he was fine. But I took him anyway & they couldn't find anything wrong with him.

He got some antiinflammatories and we went back for a check up yesterday and he still appears to be fine but we're going to x-ray him just in case.

This means his booster will have to be put off for a little while as they don't like to give boosters until other medication has completely cleared the body including antiinflammatories, GA etc.

So fingers crossed that the x-rays show his joints are fine and that it's just a muscle or something that he keeps straining...

I think because vitamin C deficiency can cause joints to weaken, its supposed to be a pain releiver for dogs with problems like dysplasia, arthritis or pain in joints or muscles, in fact alot of manufacturers of hip/joint pills are adding vitamin C to the formula. This was really brief, rutyler may have a diffrent reason or may want to elaborate.

I recently started him (and Poppy) on a liquid supplement which contains Aloe Vera Gel, MSM, Glucosamine and vit C. It's specifically designed with the right %ages to support their joints.

He's just sooooo full of it he's like a tigger there's no wonder he keeps doing himself an injury. Where has my laid back puppy gone??? lol

I use MSM Gluc 1500 mg a day also and swear by it. It's alot better (in my opinion) than Glygloflex(sp) and a heck of alot cheaper.
