wow...so this puppy is 4 months old...so if they got her at 8 weeks they have had her for a whopping 2 months and they are already giving up on her...nice real freaking nice...she has a limp but they dont know why? uh how about a vet check to be safe? what about the breeder dont they want the puppy back if they cant keep her?

what is wrong with people?

She's adorable. Of course, what GSD puppy isn't? But her limp is a concern. I'm NOT thinking of taking her, but whoever does should look at her pedigree to check out her parent's hip scores. If those are good, it's a great deal!

Would be nice to know the parents' names so we could look them up on th database.

And why can't she be registered? This sounds really fishy to me.

The fact that the 4 month old GSD puppy has a "slight limp" on a rear leg makes me worried about HD. Even if the parents' hip scores are good, it's only a guide to help produce puppies with better hips, not a guarantee, so I wouldn't consider it a great deal until that pup's hips at least prelim out ok. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the owners aren't getting rid of her because they assume they're going to have a crippled dog and don't want to deal with it. "Our Bichons keep picking on her?" Seriously?

most likely no papers offered or name info and the limp the breeder doesnt want their name out there... the gsd world would rain down on them in a heartbeat.

Shouldn't someone say something in that thread? I mean, do any of the dog people here belong to that board and would you feel comfortable putting a caution out there?
