Green goo oozing from my dogs eyes

I see there was an older post regarding the same problem.... oozing green goo, and there was mention of something like congenitvitis or something like that but I can't remember exactly how it was spelled.
Anyways what is the medicine the is needed to clear this up???
Thank you.

Conjunctivitis. Conjunctivitis is an infection- anything green or yellow is usually an infection. Your vet would probably antibiotic ointment for the eyes.

However, if it's allergy related, then general anti-inflammatories may be involved.

You are going to have to take your dog to the vet for a complete diagnosis. It could be many things, conjunctivitis, distemper, the start of parvo. Your dog has an infection and if not treated will only get worse and possibly spread to other dogs.

Our Red-dog got that a number of times. I suppose it was related to his general allergy issue or the prednizone they gave us to "relieve" it... The drops we got from the vet cleared it up though.

You dont actually need to go to the vet, if you know its conjuctivitus for sure, then you can just go and ask for the medicine at your local vet. Well you can here. But if your not completely sure then you will need to make a visit with your pooch.

Anytime there are symptoms such as this, it is best to take your dog to the vet.

Kunadog.....I would love to know the name of the drops that you used, please.

I am in Central America and a vet isn't a great option I am afraid. My dog has all it's shots and vacs. She is eating normally but seems a little sluggish/down on the weahter. Not a lot of green oozing at all these last two days but around her eyes does look just a little less than normal. Any names of drops or antibiotics anyone has used in the past would be helpful.
Thanks!

it dosent matter what others have used because without a vet check there is no way to know for sure what the issue is...and its also impossible to know if there is another issue with the eyes which could be aggravated by certain medications

I'm all ears. The problem I find is that qualified vets in central american are not as prevalent as where you are.
