Should I be concerned?

I have an 11 yr old female llhasa (sp?) poo. She is panting excessively and is very fidgity/spastic this morning. What I mean by fidgity and spastic is when I get up and move somewhere else she gets up and hurries to the new spot to lay down, and other times just darts up from where she is and moves somewhere else all the while panting and carrying her tail at half mast. Don't know if this matters, but she is spayed. If this was a horse I would be thinking somewhere along the lines of colic. Should I be concerned? I have to leave the house in the next 30-60 mins and would hate to leave her if something really is wrong.

This may be a stomach ache, she just threw up a small amount.

This sounds like a pain response to either some sort of abdominal pain, or to the back/ribs area. I would visit the vet.

We took her to the vet and he said all her vitals were normal and gave her a shot of pen and finnegran (or something like that), the finn was to soothe the stomach. He said that if she is still throwing up (she has been all day) tomorrow to bring her in for bloodwork and tests.

Take your dog to the vet. The more dog gets older the more they get prone to illnesses.

She seems better, no more throwing up and is keeping the small amount of food she we are giving her down. Her energy level is not quite up to normal, but that is to be expected. I guess she must of eaten something that didn't agree with her. We are still taking in a stool sample to the vet to be safe.
