Exclamation URGENT...Cat to be euthanized.

We are writing you about a 12yr old female spayed diabetic cat named
Clarabel.
Clarabel came to us to be euthanized. Her previous owner had banished her to
the basement after a child in the house became allergic. She lived in the
basement alone for many many months before her previous owner noticed she was
drinking and urinating a lot. The owner agreed to do bloodwork which showed
she was diabetic and then asked for her to be euthanized. We agreed to take
her in, get her regulated and then find her a new loving home. She has now
been with us since early feb. She is regulated on insulin twice a day and
has
been doing well. We have her in the waiting area hoping a current client
would adopt her or know someone who would but have not had any luck. She has
to live in a small cage here which just is not fair to her. Beyond her
diabetes she also has mild bilateral cataracts that does seem to impede some
vision but she is visual and can get around very well. She is very sweet
except for when it comes to touching her feet. Otherwise she seems to be a
lap cat. As far as other cats, she isn't found of them. She has swatted and
growled at other cats in the hospital. I do believe that with the right
introduction she would do fine with other cats. We do not know how she does
with dogs, I do not believe her previous owners had dogs. Please let me know
if there is anything you can do for little Clarabel. We would love for her
to
live out her golden years in a loving home. You can email me(Amber Moore) @
talkerkitty@hotmail.com or call the animal hospital directly at
610-388-3388.
Thanks again, Amber Moore and the staff of Longwood Veterinary Center
