A mixup in craigslist adoption

This is a strange thing. I saw this post on craigslist.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pet/1168009372.html

I don't really know who to believe. I want to believe the "original owner" but there are some pretty crazy scams on Craigslist. If it is true, it is pretty awful of the second woman to do what she is doing. I thought I would share this with anyone who was interested.

(Oh and I was only on craigslist because someone else had a thread about an ad on craigslist and i just looked at it. and i was surprised they sold pets on the site, so i just was curious to see how many dogs were really being sold)

Thanks

That dog looks very familiar. I sure hope it's not any puppy I've ever adopted out.
I wrote to them to ask if it's chipped.

Anyway, hi, I'm near Seattle too.

actually, in the pet section people are not permitted to "sell" pets. They can though advertise with a "re-homing fee" which is a continuous sore spot for most on there as there is continued bickering as to what a re-homing fee amount limit should be. Unfortunately, CL does not specify a specific dollar limit so people are left to put the amount they want and in many cases this is basically the price you would ask for a purebred dog which in turn implies to most that you are actually selling not re-homing.
CL does have another site though that does offer sales of pets.
