How many cups of kibble AND RAW should a 150 pound dog eat a day?

Since changing my dogs food, I measure out what the bag suggests. They eat it all and would eat more if I offered it. Am I not giving them enough, or is it that they just love this new food?

Fair, how many cups of kibble does your mastiffs eat a day?

Maybe I am just over analyzing as always.

Which dog are you talking about Pam? Dante or Apollo? I am hoping you are talking about Dante!

I have nothing to contribute, I just wanted to point and laugh because I go through less than a cup of food in a day between my two dogs.

And on a serious note, Holly would eat herself to death if I offered it. Never trust the dog.

Cough cough.....7? Try TWENTY cups a day with my big guys and Vanilla was eating canned!

Pam....you have to tell me who is the 150 pounder because it's different for Mastiffs and Pyrs.

Actually both of them, Dante and Apollo. And then I have the senior golden,75 pound, and the senior shepard mix 65 pounds. And then Jinx I could use some advice on all of them.

Less than a cup a day is not even enough treats for my crew

I just switched my OEM's over last month to raw which is a heck of a LOT cheaper than kibble, but I do remember what I fed in kibble.
They ate twice a day.

Okay...Uma is exactly 150 pounds and is three years old. She would get 3 and a half cups per sitting or 7 cups per day.

Orson is still growing and is in between 160-170. He would eat 4 and a half cups a day a sitting equaling 9 cups. During growth spurts he was up to 5 and a half cups per sitting or 11 cups per day.

Oso believe it or not is pure Great Pyr and only eats 1 and a half cups per sitting or 3 cups a day.

Dante can stay at the 7 cups, but Apollo, since he is still growing I would boost him to a total of 8 cups a day and see if he is still hungry. As I learned from this forum take the food away if they do not finish it all. That will give you a back ground as to what to feed in amounts the following day.

I can't help you with the golden and the Sheperd. Those two breeds are out of my league.

Wouldn't it be easier for you to go with a "light" food for all of them? If they will all eat the same I would go with that.

It's crazy at feeding time here. Two now get raw and two now get canned with a smatering of kibble if they so want. (which is usually no)
