Rescue gave birth yesterday
Hi Everyone, I am helping a new mother a husky and ? She had 6 pups under a house yesterday. I managed to get them out and put her and them on the porch. I seems as if only 4 of her teats produced milk the other ones are kind of hard. She has had no shots and is only 11/2 yrs.old. Her owner is not caring for her at all. Does anyone know anything about birthing and the mother?

Do you have her now? Get them in a clean warm place. What's her condition weight wise? If thin, free feed or frequent feed good quality puppy food to her. You can also give her some molasses in her food to give her a boost. I would give her pedialyte for at least the first 72 hours also.
Vet check may be in order if you don't know anything about her ?
