Another Doberman

It seems there is NEVER a shortage of Dobermans to save.
I have been working on this girl for a few weeks. She is a blue female about 5-6 years old. She was living with a hoarder. There were 14 dogs living outside, ther were only 4 dog houses. There are 4 adult intact males, 2 unaltered females including the Doberman, 8-10 6 month old puppies!!! Animal control had already seized 2 dogs!

And lets not forget the 4 3 week old kittens, the mom was killed last week on the road! We also took those. The woman was unable to tell me how many adult cats were there!

So, I simply approached the woman, told her I knew she was having some trouble, and just asked if I could take the Doberman. Her reply was YES, and did I want any others.

We will now be working on removing all the dogs from the property, I was just happy to get this girl before she got prego.

I am heading out to a cook out that I am already 1 hour late to, still have to jump in the shower.

I will get pictures soon!

Her name is Roxy, she comes to it, knows how to sit and shake. She is a real sweetie!

I just left her for 4 hours in her crate, and she was just fine! THANK GOD!

She came out and had a pee and a poop.

I am a bit concerned, she keeps low growling at Grandpa from her crate.

You are amazing!

I have been watching Craiglist here and there have been a ton of Dobermans on there lately. I am friends with a lady that does Doberman rescue and I always send the information to her. She has helped quite a few of them.

If she can not help do not hesitate to contact Illinois Doberman Rescue, they are a top notch group! They are large and are always willing to help.

A friend of mine is a transporter for Illinois Doberman Rescue and actually owns one that was rescued. "Junior" goes everywhere with him on his long haul trips. He has always had nice things to say about this group.
