Siberian in heat

Does anyone have Siberian Husky that is in heat? If so, how can you tell. I have a six month old female and I was told that it could happen anytime now. I was told to look at her back end and I will notice it flower. What and how will it look like? I tried to research it on the internet and I can't seem to find any pictures. I am a visual type person. I understand better with pictures. I just don't want to be at dog park and have a hundred male dogs desend upon my little girl.

It will swell up and you will notice her licking alot.. If she is 6 months old its a good time to get her spayed, then you won't have to worry.your best bet is to make up a new thread for your question. as this one is for catipillars..lol

They come in heat between 6 to 11 mos of age the first time and then it is every 6 mos 3 weeks after that. Oh believe me you will know when she comes in heat. They swell and also most the time will bleed. The first week they kind of swell a little the second week they will swell more and most the time bleed and the third week they will also be swell and by the 17 th day they will start going back down some. They are in heat for 21 days. When she goes out of heat then write it down and she will come back in 6 mos from the time she goes out of heat.

More then likley you will notice her licking her privatey parts more... or the unmistakable blood spotting.

There will be discharge, trust me!!!
Get this poor pup spayed before she ends up tying with a stray dog!!!

I was also clueless if my husky was in her first heat. But like everyone else said is right.. She swelled up which i noticed first and she would lick herself alot and then finally the discharge but no blood. Then she got spayed

If you have a picture, I think it would matter weather what breed, right?
