Unhappy A sad update on Roxy...

I of course am tears as I type this thread.

I just recieved an email from Pam who runs Illinois Doberman Rescue.

Pam had been fostering Roxy for the past week or so. Roxy was grumpy with Pams dogs also, she just kept her seperated like I did. She started to cough a bit so Pam took her to the vet yesterday, they suspected cardio because her heart seemed enlarged. Vet gave her some meds to start her on. Pam awoke this morning and Roxy had passed away.

It just kills me that I have such a sense about these animals, there was someting that drew me to her, something told me there is something special about this one. I had no idea she would only be with us a few weeks. Had I known I would have just kept her here.

I have some guilt, Roxy went through alot trying to start a new life. She spent almost a week with me, an overnight somewhere else durning transport, a weeks or so at a boarding kennel until she was vetted, and then she was with Pam about a week. Poor girl.

RIP ROXY, I wish I could have done more for you.

Oh T. I am so sorry to hear this. Maybe Roxy's time was limited. One good thing, she probably passed in her sleep.

RIP Sweet Roxy.

It just seems so unfair. She lived such a horrible life, and just when I thought I was going to change her world, and help her get a wonderful home, she passes. Dogs dont deserve to live like she did, I just wanted to show her happiness.

You did, she could feel it with you and with her foster mom. Thank goodness she went peacefully.

At least she passed knowing that she was loved and had been happy, even if just for a little while. Sorry for your loss, dobermom.
