The pound is very full and once again we are begging for your help. We are over capacity and the euthanasia's are just around the corner and time is running very short for most of the innocent furies. Please just look and see who we have at this time and if by chance you are not able to help currently could please forward to anyone you may know of. Thank you taking the time to look............

Our wonderful Pitties are not available for adoption to the public. They are not allowed within the city limits of Mansfield and owners must have insurance to own them, which no one ever has or can afford. Their only chance is to find a rescue!

Maggie came in with her husband Otis as a stray on 6/8. They were chasing sheep. She is very sweet and docile and would make a great family pet. NOTE: Maggie at one point was pregnant, but it seems to be that she has lost her babies in a miscarriage since the doctors confirmed for us she is no longer pregnant.

Beans was found tied out back at the shelter on 6/12/09. We are thinking his owner must have dumped him as he is micro-chipped but none of the information is valid. He is a friendly and gorgeous boy that would love to have someone to love and cherish him.

I sooooooo wish I could help some of these sweet babies

Adoptions are slow and it's frustrating. More and more needing help, people out buying pet dogs and I cry every night because I feel so helpless

I now have kittens too. Why do I have half of them? Vet's refused to spay the Moms until they were 6 months old... they were pregnant before they hit 6 months

I REALLY, REALLY hope they have been rescued out! If not, I don't want to know that either. Too painful.

You're not helpless FDM! You do great work and help many animals find homes. Try and stay positive and focussed on the things you are able to accomplish and not get overwhelmed by the things beyond your control. There will always be dogs and cats and people who need help and don't get it - but there also will always be good hearted souls like you that give of themselves and help those they can and so keep hope and positive energy alive for all of us!
