Not human anti-inflammatories. Dog anti-inflamatories are quite buffered... What seems to be the problem?

I would try to keep her quiet, she may have pulled or strained a muscle. As for
an Anti inflammatory you can only acquire these by having an appointment with your vet and having your dog looked over. As for an anti inflammatory you can use around the house you can use Bayer or bufferin. Give with a small amount of food to decrease the risk of ulcers forming. Do not use in dogs that may be allergic to it. Do not use aspirin products that contain other ingredients such as caffeine, codeine, or acetaminophen. These drugs can kill animals. Use buffered aspirin, not enteric-coated aspirin (the coating can decrease the absorption of aspirin from the intestines in dogs). Never give Aspirin to cats, it can kill them.

Where it may only be a strained muscle I would keep her quiet for a few day with short leash walks. For dogs, if you don't have consistent exercise then take them for a good long hike they are usually not in proper condition to handle the extended walk. If you plan on hiking your dog this summer slowly build your dog up to longer and longer walks and be consistent.
I would also recommend that you put your dog on supplements if you are not doing so already. I recommend Glucosamine HCL and Glucosamine Sulfate, Chondroitin, Manganese IAscorbate) and MSM...these supplements are safe to give daily and will prevent any joint disease that may arise in your dog later in life. As far as natural anti inflammatory I use Yucca root, this I give to my dogs 4 days on 3 days off...its also a good idea to give a few months break from the Yucca and don't give it long term over 6 months at a time. I also recommend omega fatty acids (omega 3, 6 and 9) the perfect ratio of these omega's is found in Hemp seed oil which you can purchase at most health food stores. I also add Sardines and Wild Alaskan Salmon to my dogs meals and I try to feed as many raw meals as possible. I hate feeding my dogs Kibble for long periods of time as I feel kibble is very unnatural and unhealthy for our dogs. I give a kibble breakfast usually a good quality like California Naturals, Holistic blend, Solid Gold, Wellness or Innova. I change the kibble every 3 months as well...it's not a good idea to keep a dog on the same kibble for too long...and canned dog food of the same high quality brands is wonderful to add to the kibble meal. Canned is much better for your dog than dry kibble.

Good luck to you and I hope with these supplement suggestions and food ideas your dog will be on a long term good health plan.
