Sick??
Hi everyone,
Lilly is due in the next week and I am a bit worried about her. Last night and this morning she has had a little bit of vomiting and diarrhea. I have rang the vet and he said to give her plenty of water and bring her in by tomorrow if she isn't improving. Is this normal for dogs to get sick a week before they give birth? Do you think I should take her to the vet anyway?? She's drinking water and I managed to get her to eat some plain rice. I'm boiling some chicken breast for her to eat with the rice. She seems a little happier but is just resting on the couch. Thanks!!

Sorry, I've not had to deal with that before, but I'm sure you're anxious after Jenny's ordeal, so I'd take her in tomorrow just to be sure...are the pups still bouncing around in there?

I didn't end up taking her in because she started eating and drinking normally and wasn't sick again. I rang the vet and he said she sounded fine and sometimes pregnant dogs just needs to clean out their bodies before having the pups.
So I'm very happy that she's OK now!!

Definitely - I was really starting to stress yesterday especially when she didn't want to eat anything, play or go for a walk.
