Dachsund health question

Yesterday afternoon, my 7 year old dachsund kept getting of the sofa and lying on the floor near the sofa. He did this several times. Then he got up and started turning around and around. He then started to walk and his back legs twisted toward the right. He went to the door to go out (if he has to use the restroom that is what he does). Picked him up as he was wobbling and his body had gotten really stiff. Put him outside and he he wobbled over the grass but didn't urinate or anything. He came back in the house and was fine and has been last night and today. In fact, we went for our 2 mile walk (we have done this every other day for the past 3 years). Has always been healthy except for a slipped disc once time. When he came back in from the outside, I took his hind legs in my hands and strectched them easy and he never cried, whine, or anything. Very alert.

What happened to him? Please let me know as I am really concerned. thank you.

I'm not sure, but I'd suggest taking him to vet as soon as you can.

Dachshunds have problems with their backs often.. as you mentioned slipped disc. I would keep an eye on it and then call the vet to see what they think. Maybe it needs a vet visit. If it comes up again in the near future or later on.. I would address it. But maybe before reacting give it some time to come up again. Could have just been sore muscle from playing/running or something. Don't get too worried just yet.
