Xray Appt
Well, our vet's father passed away. She is out of the office until Wednesday.
She called us personally, really sweet lady! She gave me the names of 2 vet clinics that I may want to use. She appologized profusely.... like that was needed? All I could do is offer our condolences and promise to bring Sharon & the pups in afterwards. She has offered post natal and puppy exams at no charge..... again not needed!! I will try to call these other 2 clinics and see what they have open. We might go without the Xrays. I know we don't HAVE to have them but you all know me...worry worry! I just gave her a bath. It doesn't stress her because I always give them a nice long message She wasn't happy with the hair dryer, so she is air drying a bit.Still no milk, but by the looks of it it won't be long! (still not as endowed as Molly lol) |

Lilly didn't get an x-ray last time and her pups were all well (as was she). I'm not getting her one this time either. Is Ozzy heaps bigger than Sharon? I'm pretty sure that if the father isn't very big the pups shouldn't be too big either. Although my vet did say that if dog only has one puppy, that one can get get pretty big but I don't think you'll have to worry about that with Sharon! Anyway if you're really stressed you could take her to the other vets but I'm sure everything will be fine!!

Oh and I forgot to say Lilly wasn't meant to have any milk until the 14th of May according to something I read on the internet. So Lilly just got it early and it isn't a bad sign for Sharon or anything. I'm sure she'll get some very soon!!

Thaks again, you really are a great help-- keep my spirits up!
Ozzy is about half the size of Sharon LOL She is usually 22lbs he is about 12lbs.. When we bought Sharon she was only supose to be 12-16lbs! She isn't over wieght or anything. The breeder was actually going to keep her as a brood bitch but it was looking as if she'd only be the 12-16lbs. She offered (begged) to buy her back once she hit maturity and realized how she turned out. NO WAY she is MY baby! Her teats are definately filling in now, just no milk yet. She must know I am talking about her because here she is!!! LOL |

I don't have x-rays done with my girls...for what it's worth. I guess I feel they really aren't needed, with the exception of knowing how many there are. If there are going to be complications, I know the vet is only a few minutes away and is always ready for any emergency c-sections (seeing as ALL my litters are born in the middle of the night!!) that may occur. Knock on wood, I haven't needed the services. I have had to do some tugging and some CPR on some, but that's the extent of problems I've had.
That was very generous of your vet to offer all the services...I probably would feel guilty taking her up on them though...it's not like she planned on her dad dying. I would just wait for Sharon to deliver and keep with your vet. Oh yeah...Molly doesn't have any milk yet either. I just assumed that she would with the size of her nipples and all...silly me! I'll have to get a new picture of her up here for you all. My daughter says she looks like a pregnant goat when she's standing...poor Molly. She is getting very uncomfortable now...can't sleep in one position very long, huffs and puffs, grunts....it's almost over baby girl! She tries to play with the other ones and just stands there and barks at them...as if to say, "Hey, I can't run around and get you, so come over here and let me get you that way!"...I don't think they're listening because they don't come close to her to play. They just don't want to hurt the babies.

We are NOT taking her up on the freebies! I think she went out of her way to call us personally. I think taking her up on it would be taking advantage of her in a time of loss.
I figured Molly was FULL of milk LOL Well, now I don't feel so bad about Sharon not having any hehe You should have named her DOLLY not Molly get it? Anyway, looking forward to the pics. |

Well, when I did the math on the impending Osbourne gang I came up with May 16th. Then I did the online calendar and it said May 20th. I recounted, feels like an election, and it was May 20th.
You never got the Sharon & Ozzy connection??? We are hoping some one will name a male pup Jack
