Here are some pet dogs that are very good for one with allergies

Chinese Crested (hairless variety is best but even powderpuff has no fluffy undercoat)

Italian Greyhound (clean and odorless)

Maltase (coat resembles human hair)

Shih Tzu (has hair rather than fur)

Toy Poodle (won't shed much)

Also other good ones are:
Bichon Frise
Bolognese
Coton de Tulear
Havanese
Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier
Portugese water dogs
Xoloitzcuintle
And I'm pretty sure all sizes of Poodles are hypoallergenic .......

In my opnion, Lilly's owners' list is better for allergy sufferers than those listed by purebred. I'm not too sure about the greyhound, but both shih-tzus and malteses are quite greasy, which isn't great for certain types of allergies.
