Lilly?
Hi,
Lilly is due in 2 days and today she is acting strange. She doesn't want anything to eat (I even tried her with her favourite cheese and she tasted it and left the rest), she wants someone to be near her all the time and her temp is 98.4 . But she isn't panting, shivering, hiding in dark places or digging. Do you think she may be in early labor? Last time her temp stayed about normal, she still ate lots and the only sign she was giving us was the panting. Just interested to hear what everyone thinks. Thank you!!

Usually, when they want you near, they know it's getting to be time and are looking for support from you. I've had them start within 12 hours of the "closeness" like that. Hope you're ready!

I am! I've got the house cleaned, Lilly tidy, The labor room set up, My vets number on hand and I'm going to ring Lilly's breeder to come and help me when she gets closer! Knowing Lilly though this will probably be a false alarm!!

LOL. Lilly's a Drama Queen. She'd have a false alarm if she thought it would cause a worry!
I'm so freaked out about her giving birth in my bed that I'm now sleeping on the floor next to the whelping box. I'm such a heavy sleeper that I'm worried she'd have them and I'd roll on them!

Brooke you are WAY ahead of us! We had a fun day of Spring cleaning planned for tomorrow. We've been doing little home improvement projects so there is lots we need to finish up and clean up. Although EVERYONE here seems to be quite content in my room. Given that....I would not be suprised if she has them in my bed!!

Spring cleaning...isn't it back to being cold there again????? It was beautiful here last weekend...this weekend, I've got the wood burner going again! I'm getting tired of this already. I wish it'd just get warm and stay that way already!
