help!! rash all over tyson

tyson is a 7 month old boxer mix who has developed a rash all over his belly, ears and paws, his paws have started to bleed, the only thing i've done different is gave him his 1st flea & tick repellent, it wasn't over the counter it was from his vet, he also feels very hot to the touch, he is eating ok but looks terrible, the vet did not say anything about a possible allergic reaction when i purchased the product.....any thoughts????? please help

Call an Emergency Vet Centre with exactly what you've given your dog. Anything that is bleeding should be treated with stanard first aid. - Keep it clean and put on antibotic cream. Try to keep dog from chewing on his paws and keep him for rolling and scratching.

I would ask if Benadryl (From ER Vet) would help the reaction. Here is a link on it.

should i try and wrap his paws with something, if i put cream on and he licks it wouldn't that be more harmful??? the flean and tick repellent was not ingested, it was the kind that you squeeze on his back above the shoulders, do you think that could have cause a reaction?? because the rash is on his underside, not where i put it

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what it is. If it's the only thing new - i would be the first thing to suspect. You could see if the manufacturer has a website and lists what's happening as a side effect and what to do.

A vet's office should let you know if they need you to come in. It sounds like it's uncomfortable for your dog.

Do you use any rug deodrizers on your carpet you know like the powder you sprinkle on and the vaccum up? Or any new cleaning products on the floor or where he lays. I've seen dogs with rashes on the belly that are allergic to the cleaning products
