Wierd Stuff on Sammy's Foot...

Not sure if this belongs in this category, but here goes...

Well today I came home, and looked at Sammy's front right foot. It really freaked me out, because it was totally cut up (the fur) and uneven. THe left foot was regular, and looked like nothing had been done to it. It reminded me of how the hair of little children looks after they decide to cut their hair by themselves. Just talking about it or looking at it keeps giving me goosebumps. I don't know why, its just really freaky and mysterious. I asked my mom if she had cut his hair, and she said no. I am yet to ask my sister or father, but highly doubt that they would do this. I mean, the only time we have ever cut his hair is jsut the hair in between his paws.

I'm sooo confused on what this is... Anyone know what it could be or the reason behind it? Should I take any actions? I really don't know what to do, so thanks in advance on any comments you make.

The pictures I attached are pics that I took right after I saw it. The first one is the cut up one, and the second one is normal. It might be hard to understand, but may offer you some help. Seeing it not zoomed in might actually be better.

I can't really see the pictures but if you have those stickies off of trees around they sometimes get stuck in the fur. When they pull with their teeth they can tear out fur. Or perhaps someone cut them out. I wouldn't worry too much about it but make sure that there are no little munchkins (kids) playing barber.

Hmm... I didn't notice anything on his legs at all in the morning or last night. Also, it doesn't seem like he pulled whole pieces of hair out, just kinda cut it unevenly at different length. Once again, it looks exactly like the haircut of a child. But then again, this is sammy we're talking about, and if he feels like pulling at his hair, he'll gladly do it. LOL. Sorry about the pictures... it a little tricky to see. Thanks anyway for the help.

This is quite a mystery... LOL

I agree with Dax that he may have pulled on the hair himself, Poppy sometimes grooms herself a little too exessively...

What did he throw up? Anything unusual (fur) or just food and bile? Remain calm and give access to lots of water. If he keeps throwing up for more than 24 hours - Vet time. If he appears in distress (pain, heavy panting, can't get comfortable) - vet. Any blood in vomit or bloody diaherra - vet.

Make sure he drinks lots of water and keep an eye on him. It could be nothing but you need to monitor him.

Okay, i've calmed down a little. Sammy's throw up was two small piece of his toys that he must have eaten, and one big piece of plastic (must be from getting to a plastic bottle and munching on it... silly dog) That's actually pretty good, at least what was bothering him got out! I guess it was just a coinsidence that it occurred on the same day, so I'm relaxing a little bit. I gave him water, and as far as behavior, he's acting normal. Thanks for the comments everyone...

sammy threw up....again. This time it was just foamy bile. I'll give him some syrup to relax him, and see how the night goes. THis is quite unusual, sammy has never thrown up this much.
