Clicking sound

Hi all

Anyone ever had a puppy thats legs click when they bend them? Our puppies has just started clicking when she sits/stand and walks up/down the stairs. Any ideas? We are going for her shots at the end of the week so will ask the vet, but just thought I would ask. Thanks :-)

It's probably because they are growing and their joints have some laxity in them. They are cracking or popping like our knuckles or other joints do. Double check with the vet, but that's my experience.

jennifer78 is on a distinguished road
Our puppy has this in his back right leg. It is called Luxtating Patella. It is the kneecap going in out and out of joint. With our puppy (toy poodle) it is very common with the breeed, and small breeds for that matter. (Not sure what kind of dog that you have).

The first time that our puppy did it he had no reaction, the second-100th time, same thing no reaction. Then one day he did it and whimpered for about 2 minutes in pain. My husband came running into the room where he was at thinking that he had gotten caught in something. The vet said that we have to wait to see how it progresses to determine if he will ever need surgery.

Good Luck and Hope this helps!
