Ah, interesting. I had never seen this particular conversion before. What I remember from living in the US, was that the first dog's year counts as 14 human years and it's a 1:7 conversion after that. I seem to remeber that in Germany it's a 1:7 conversion throughout. Interestingly, there seems to be a difference in conversion based on the country you are in. Here in Costa Rica, for example, I have been told that it is a 1:10 conversion. How about where you all live?

I haven't heard anything specifc for Canada but it would seem to make sense. I was looking for more breed specific conversions too (if anyone has some kicking around).
