i have very bad manners...

the past two times Sweeney has been at the groomers, She has been so passionate about educating me on the maintenence of my puppy, i have forgotten to tip her. would it make matters worse, or be unappropriate to send her a thank you card with a check or cash in it. i want to see my way out of this error, and thank her for bringing very important things to my attention. in the scheme of things, she could have saved me and Sweeney from terrible health problems by telling me his weight problem. plus i don't want her to think i don't tip... and in addition, how do i give her helper recognition also?

It sounds like a nice idea to send her a thank you card etc. I'm sure she'd appreciate it and you could just put her helpers name in the card also. Or you could just tip her and thank her next time you go.

The thank you card idea sounds very good then.

A card would be very appropriate. I would wait with the tip until the next grooming session and then add a little more for last time.

Many places appreciate getting pictures of your dog to put on their wall of fame too.

I know lots of groomers (hairdressers too) that don't get tipped by clients.

i always remember to tip the hairdresser. and even though Sophie's sessions have left me in a tizzy, i AM very appreciative of the information i got from her. i will wit with the tip, until next time, but i will tip big, and it will be more personal coming out of my hand, rather than through the mail, But i will send a thank you card with pics of course... which reminds me, i need to get more pics off the camera onto the pc!

What a nice thing to do. Most groomers never expect tips, but to go to the length that you are going to...that is very sweet. You will be numero uno on her favorite customer list LOL This may even ensure you a great appointment date at Christmas time LOL

Very thoughtfukl of you to do that. I think it would really make her day to know that her advice is so valued as well as that you wanted to show apreciation with making sure she was tipped. You are on the way to having a good professional relationship with her, no doubt it will prove valuable in the future.
