Vet called

Well, the vet just called to check on Sharon. Appearantly I may have miscalculated. When I took her for the ultra sound I thought she was 32-35 days.... I keep everything on the computer and it crashed so I may have screwed up when re entering it. Anyway, they estimated her at 24 days with the ultrasound. So, they said to watch her ect and if she is still the same or advances they'd like to do another Xray Monday.
AND smaller dogs tend to calcify later so it may not have shown on Xray. Is this true or are they making ANOTHER quick buck off me???

No, it is true with some dogs, although i'm not sure if its more prominent in small dogs, that its harder to tell, as some develop largley in the last week.Where others might be balenced out more within the last month!

So, please tell me, is that good news? I don't know much about breeding. Does that mean she still might be expecting... or not?

Things are doing just fine. All the puppies are now sold, but Spike is still here because his new mommy and daddy had to go to an unexspected funeral, and will get him in a week or two.

How is Sharon?

Greta~yep means we might still have pups

Lovin'-glad things are going well. Sharon is OK. Still acting like she'll throw pups but we can just wait and see. Makes me mad that the vet just noticed the difference in dates!! Didn't she check the chart? You think she'd check before examining her and doing the Xrays!

Whew...what a relief that is, huh? That sure was good news, wasn't it! Although, it sucks...that means that you won't be up with me delivering your litter while I'm delivering mine!

You go, Sharon!!!

Thanks guys, uh girls. LADIES hehe
It does give some hope. I haven't found anything about toy breeds calcifying later.
They said usually within the last week. I took Sharon to the little store here to see the lady who's hubby has cancer. She was in awe that the vet said no pups. She is getting bigger by the day and her teats are really hanging low. So, we'll see. Still the waiting game! I'll be up when you whelp, hehehe.

So, you'll be my labor and delivery support then??

You'll be busy Memorial Weekend, huh? That's a good time to have them...you'll be off work and have nothing better to do, right. Or should I say...and what could be better to do? hehehe Do you guys have fireworks there? I think Green Bay is going to have some. Heather will want to stay home that weekend (the rest go up north to the cabin) so we'll probably head over there to catch them...although some night we can see them from our attic! Did Kody get the clearance to head back to school?
