This was sooo gross, poor Keera

I went out to the yard to check on the pups this afternoon, and, sorry to sound so crude, but Keera had something hanging out of her butt about six inches long. She kept trying to get it off, but she couldn't. So I grabbed a peice of cloth and held her still and gave it a gentle tug, and it ended up being about 18 inches long. Guess what she apparently ate last night. A sock that they had been playing with!!! That was a very close call, and I have no clue how she passed that thing! So be careful letting your dogs and puppies play with old socks, Keera sure was lucky not to have to be rushed to the vet to get that sock removed from her stomach/bowel. No more "homemade" toys for my three girls!

Yeah, eugh, I've been down that road. Flailing dog, trying to bite something off of his own butt... Turns out to be a shoe lace or something nasty that he got his lips on.

That's not nice but sometimes you have to help them out. Glad she's OK now though. When Poppy was having a week when she ate loads more grass than normal it wouldn't come out on it's own. Best thing was this didn't happen in our garden but out on a walk with loads of people around. Hubby took a picture of her - poor thing - I didn't believe he'd done it until I downloaded them. Needless to say I helped her out in the end... the things we do for our dogs...

I swear, they'll eat anything!

Well, apparently all three pups are eating anything they can get a hold of. Yesterday while cleaning the kennel, there was digested elastic from their bungy toy, along with some fleecy stuff from the same toy. Oh, and they ripped their fleece squeaky ball to pieces and had the cottony stuffing all over the place, it looked like it had snowed! Hopefully they didn't eat any of the stuffing, though! Needless to say, after I finally got it all cleaned up, I picked up any toys that they might deem edible, lol! Hopefully we won't have any more incidents now!

when i first got my pup she would eat anything in sight, mainly leaves, and i would usually find leaves in her poop. my dog had coccidia which is kinda like worms. she went to poop and the thing was so long that it was on the floor and still coming out of her butt I had to get a napkin to pull it out

Be very careful if you are pulling out anything that is hanging from the dogs butt. It is not recomeended. You can actually end up pulling out the intestine, if it is long and bunched up or even just long. Always call the vet and get his advice.
