which breed?

My friend's family is looking to get a dog that matches the following criteria:

A dog that can be taken on hunting trips
A hypo-allergenic dog
A larger dog

So far all they can think of is an airedale but any other suggestions??

The only hypo-allergenic large dogs I can think of are poodles, portugese water dogs, and soft coated wheaten terriers.

Airedales have allergens.

If you want a dog that can hunt and doesn't shed the standard poodle would probably suit your friends family.

Poodles are duck dogs they will retrieve the dead ducks and bring them back to you.It depends what your friends family wants to hunt.If its rabbits go with a fast breed eg whippets. The you have the pitbulls they can be used to hunt pigs.

My ex is allergic to dogs... all except a friends 2 Vizslas. That is how I got Roo. They are bird dogs, and by no means hypo-allergenic...they do shed a little, but are very clean dogs.

I have allergies to many dogs but never to Vizslas. Mine is a riot to take camping---keeps me busy trying to keep up with her!!

Hi labradoodles shed alot of hair just cause a labrador is cross with a poodle doesn't make it that they don't shed.I know a few people who have a labradoodle and they said they regret buying them cause they shed and don't live very long. They have problems and some turn out to be aggersive. This person wants a dog that can hunt and doesn't shed. This persons best bet would be the standard poodle there duck hunting dogs.
