Unhappy dog nasal aspergillosis

Can anyone help, my fur baby, Floyd, a 2 year old rottweiler after many months of nasal discharge and three vets later we finally found out he had nasal aspergillosis, a disease that eats away at the bones in the nose. He underwent a one and half hour infusion in his nose to try to "burn" or "eat" away at the fungus, however one week later, he is so poorly and I was wondering if anyone else out there has seen or experienced this disease and if they have any feedback on the recovery time. I feel I am constantly on the phone to my vets and they canīt really help.

OMG, I have never heard of that before. How horrible. I wish I could help you but I can't. I hope things start to look up for him shortly. Lots of prayers for him...

I've never heard of it either but it sounds really awful. I'm sorry your poor dog has to go through that. I will keep you in my thoughts and I hope he starts to improve soon!

Read this:

You will want to improve your dogs immune system, I found Astragalus to be a wonderful immune enhancer. You can also give your dog a couple of cloves of crushed garlic daily, garlic is an immune enhancer and an anti viral, anti bacterial. I have also talked to people have mixed maitake mushrooms in their dogs food for this problem, then switch to Shitake mushrooms for the rest of the dogs life when the titer came back negative.
Always check with your vet before giving any supplements. You never know if they are going to interfere with current med's or counteract the effects. You may also want to contact a holistic Vet as most conventional vets are not up on the current homeopathic or holistic remedies.

Good luck to you

Thank you for all your words of support, it really helps and I will keep you posted.

I have looked at Indiana, A Lucky Dog story and hope and pray we will be as lucky him. I live in Spain and am unsure how good homeopathy is in this country, they donīt seem to care about their animals as much as we do in other parts of the world.

Oh, thats a shame that your area isn't into Homeopathic remedies. Would have the money and resources to call a holistic Vet in the States? I can obtain numbers for you if you like.
