Hi i will be adopting an 8 week old Jack Russel Terrier. here he is http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?act...=0&tmpl=&stat=
When should i start training groom etc. and when should i enroll him in an obediance class?

Practice all the grooming motions now. Touch his feet - each toe, etc.

Puppy wipes are good enough to keep him clean and smelling nice for the next two months - then you can decide how much actual bathing will be required. Some dogs just don't need it as much as others.

I would wait til at least 4 months of age before starting classes. I suggest this age because by then he should be able to hold p ee & p oop for the entire length of the class.

You can start at home training right away. Learning his name is priority #1 and come when you call.

I have to suggest as soon as possible, I had Whiskey in puppt classes at 8 weeks and everybody was an is impresses by his knowledge he was also second over all in a class of six, and awarded quickest learner, most pups were 4 mths.
Especially a JRT I would start earlier to encourage dog friendliness.

Thanks I think ill start at about 10 weeks when it will be able to hold himself a little more but still young enough.

I would say as soon as possible. I started mine young she is now about 5 months and sits she will lie down and dance. She is georgeous.
