Do you mean get along? I would think so, as long as they are properly introduced... it also helps if the genders are opposite... if you have a male lab, then get a female st.bernard... In my experience my two females fight more than any other dogs I've had. I will never again get two females at once. My male just stays out of it....

Um, I guess it really depends on the dog and what kind of enviroment she has grown up in and what kind of personality she has. My female doesn't like other females in her house but tolerates them very well out in public. Tanner, one of my males, seems to be protective of his pack members, male and female, when out at the dog park.

A lab and a St. Benard should be fine together. I feel that any breed is fine with in other breed as long as they are introduced properly.

You are going to have quite an apartment full of dogs. Based on what I know about the two breeds, I would suspect that your lab (when full grown) will protect your St.B.

Dogs are individuals - it will be up to their personalities and how they are raised.

I have 2 females. My border collie was about 4 years old when I got my german shepherd mix. They get along great and the german shepherd mix is very protective over my border collie. They play ball together, wrestle a little sometimes...they're great. When my shepherd was a pup, she wouldn't go anywhere unless my border collie went too. But I have heard bad things about 2 females living together. I guess it depends on the temperament of the older dog. Won't your dogs be a bit cramped in an apartment if you get a St. Bernard too?

I know a lady that has two GSD females from the same litter. These two absolutely LOVE each other, they are always playing and being goofs...

I also know my cousin that kept a female puppy from his pittbull litter. Her and the mom fought so bad I thought they would kill each other. He had to get rid of the pup!

Mine... I've got a male, Koda. He loves everyone and everything. He likes to stay out of arguments... Lady I've had for about 10 years now. She's always been the boss. Now she is getting old and can't do what she used to. Enter Shiloh into the picture, another female I got about 2 years ago. Lady and Shiloh have spats almost daily... little ones usually. I introduced them properly and all that, but Shiloh wants to be dominant and Lady is....... I'm usually yelling at Shiloh to leave Lady alone!

Beware of the un-neutered male. I don't think it matters if it's a spayed female or another male dog, they just mark away. My male/ female mix do get along better than the dogs of the same sex though.
