Exclamation Bulldog/Beagle mix?

Hey there. Well, I am getting a 9 week old puppy tomorrow. It's a beagle/bulldog mix. (mother is beagle, father is bulldog) She'll be really cute! I'm just wondering on exercise. I love going for strolls, and walking dogs. BUT. Bullies are like, lazy sometimes and usually don't need to go on walks. Plus they need to rest their joints and stuff. But, beagles are quite active and love walks. How am I sure if I should walk this dog or not?

yes you should walk every dog. Not needing to walk certain dogs because of their joints is a myth, those breeds need long steady walks to keep their weight down and keep their joints moving, lots of charging and careering about can cause joint problems in dogs with already weak joints so on-leash is often a good option but they still need exercise. However this may not apply to your dog. If you are concerned about this then have him hip and elbow scored by your vet when he is old enough and your vet will advise you on a good plan of exercise for him.

since your puppy is so young keep your walks short and fun at first, as she gets older she will let you know what type of enegry level she has. also talk to your vet they will explain when to test for joint problems or even if you will need to.

Check with the vet, but there is a point where you should not take puppies out while they are not fully vaccinated to prevent parvo and other things.

Exactly as I would say. 2 weeks after the final puppy boosters. Until then, it could be fatally dangerous to leave your property.

Excercise to the puppy's individual need. If puppy stops to rest, stop. I'm unsure of how safe it is to run with a half brachy dog.
