self whelping bulldogs

as so many of you all ready no british bulldogs have a bad rep for lots of different reasons not least having to have c sections and not being able to breath, and not being able to walk more than 10 mins at a time ,this is the reason why we as a breed (sussex bulldogs) have spent so long getting our dogs to the standard they are now ,as they were in the 18th centry. i have enclosed our breed standard, and some pics

Those are absolutely beautiful dogs!!! Maintaining clean lines is so important. My Boxer developed dilated cardiomyopathy, I believe from breeders breeding for the money, not for healty pups.

(Sorry--I forgot this part)

I wasn't well enough educated in dog breeding, didn't know what to look for or what to ask. Have learned allot since then, and continue to learn daily, especially on this forum.

The Sussex Bulldogs look a lot like the Dogue de Bordeauxs. The only have different colors instead of just the brown liver color of the Bordeauxs.

thank u ,realy,so can u tell me wot bordeaux in the world looks like one of my sussex bulldogs. how come we went to a vvf dog show and won best in show. when we arrived over 50 people removed their dogs from the show due to embarresment over their dogs. by the way dogue de bordeaux' are red ox colour not liver brown and are part of the mastiff family, mine are sussex bulldogs.
wait till tommorrow and ill show u pictures of sussex bulldogs before bordeux were even in the country, as they are a rare breed and have only been in the uk since the late 80's early 90's. the sussex bulldog was already on 7 or 8 generations at this stage of the game so please dont be so rude.

Yikes... ease up on the caffeine (Kidding) I think it was the photo angle because your dog does have some features I associate with other breeds of dogs.

Your dog is amazing and beautiful. Do you have any pictures of them as puppies? How did you get into breeding this particular breed?

i got into the breed in 1999 when i was looking into bulldogs, i researchered dave levits old time bulldog and the british bulldog and american and by chance was introduced to the sole creater Mr david brown. since then ive been hooked.
yes i do have some puppy pictures, ill put them on tommorrow. uve got to remember theres over 500 registered sussex bulldogs and my sba friend scomin tommorrow with a disk for me with hundreds of pictures on, i will put some on tommorrow. ive just had a litter of pups three months ago and have kept one back so ill put some of him on tommorrow.
ive been involved in dogs since i was a nipper crufts winning champion sharpei's which were my mum and dads and ever since i was young i have loved dogs especially rare breeds

They indeed are gorgeous dogs. Whats the difference between a sussex bulldog and an american bulldog? Sorry, ive never before heard of a sussex bulldog. How come they can only walk for 10 minutes? Im aware bracycephalic dogs cant do nearly as much running as some breeds but 10 minutes isnt even enough to go around the block. Is it that bad?

BTW, Aussie Collies didnt mean that as criticism. Lighten up

sorry i must of wrote it wrong ,the sussex bulldog can run for 5 miles a day plus, the difference between the american bulldog and the sussex bulldog is that thay are two different breeds, the only thing simular is there size and determination towards there owners, i forgot to mention that when i won the vvbf show of 2004 and beat 200 bulldogs the judge was an american bulldog breeder, and like hes self now wants to by a sussex bulldog
