Father's like visits from their kids - Number 1. Without kids he wouldn't be a Father.

Besides hugs and a card, if you can, Get him something from the sporting goods store, a fun hat, outdoor vest with lots of pockets or a gadget like a GPS hand-held thingy (I know nothing about them, but I'm sure Dads can't live without 'em) or something like that.

i could just imagine the look on my husbands face!! he's not the sporty type, and he is not mechanically inclined either! Golf is his only real hobby, and he doesnt even do that a whole lot...

I think i'm going to get him, this facial trimmer. He has an electric razor, but its hard for him to do his moustache and neck with it. Not sure though!

I am taking my dad out to eat this weekend. He will be in Ireland during father's day. I am thinking of taking him to a baseball game in September since his favorite team will be in town.

"A new remote" - that's the ticket, and a bag of Cheetos to go with it.

You know, I got a friend of mine a $15.00 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble Books and he really got a kick out of thinking about it, then finally going to the store and spent the afternoon browsing for the book he wanted. He really liked that gift. I think he got a book about the civil war or something. Came and told me how much he enjoyed going there.
